Mingfang Su, DMD

Dr. Su with over 40 years of experience in dentistry joined our practice a few years ago for the second time as our in-house Periodontist. He treats our dental implant patients in addition to performing gum surgeries, and extractions.

Dr. Su is a Clinical professor of Periodontology at Boston University who has trained many dental students since 1991 when he completed his studies there. He has authored and contributed to the publication of many research topics in the field or Periodontology.

His extensive studies include but are not limited to completing his first Doctorate of Dentistry from the Shanghai Medical School in 1977. He followed that by practicing at the hospital for 5 years. Dr. Su then completed a Master of Science degree in Oral biology in 1986 after which he did his Periodontal Residency at the Prestigious Mayo Clinic from 1986 to 1989. Dr. Su returned to Boston university and completed yet another degree in doctorate of dentistry in 1991. He has since joined the faculty at Periodontology department as a Clinical Professor.

Dr. Su’s daughter has joined the dental field and is practicing as a general dentist. When Dr. Su is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys singing folk songs, plays ping pong, and cooks traditional Chinese food.
